Why "The Old School"?
We recently purchased an abandoned rural school building in the Zhytomyr region. Its walls remember many children who studied and dreamed here. We decided to give this place a new life!
The Problem We See
Rural youth are massively migrating to the cities. After graduating from village schools, teenagers realize that to have any prospects, they must move to regional centers or Kyiv. Villages are becoming empty, and young people lose connection with their homeland.
Our Approach
As a Christian organization, we believe that God has given us a vision to create a place where young people can receive quality education and biblical values that will help them get well-paying jobs without leaving their local area.
This is more than just learning. It’s a community of true professionals who strive to grow together in faith and skill. Lifelong connections are formed here, joint projects are born, and graduates support one another in their careers.
"The Old School" is about a personal approach, deep immersion in craftsmanship, and a strong community built on Christian principles.
How It Works
A young person chooses a field they want to grow in and comes to study with us. From the very first day, they gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience through real projects.
We are creating a modern campus that meets European standards: a comfortable dormitory, café, gym, conference halls, and fully equipped classrooms. Everything is designed so that students can fully focus on learning and personal development.
Where Do We Start?
In September, we are launching a pilot course called "Introduction to Programming" for 25 young people who want to dive into the IT field and find out if it suits them.
The course consists of 10 sessions (developed by Harvard University) over 10 weeks. The first cohort will study on Saturdays in the village of Reya, with additional online meetings during the week.
The People Who Bring the Vision to Life
This project became possible thanks to God's grace and a group of Dutch Christian brothers who established a charitable foundation in the Netherlands. They believed in our vision and are ready to support its realization.
In cooperation with them, we plan to continue growing, launch new courses and directions, and build international connections for our students.
Our Faith
We believe that God has a plan for the Ukrainian village, and it can become a birthplace of the future. Young people shouldn't have to choose between success and their homeland.
The Old School is being revived by God’s grace. Join us on this journey!
