From the Old School to New Opportunities
Why “The Old School”?
Recently, we purchased a neglected building of a former rural school in the Zhytomyr region. Its walls remember countless children who studied here and dreamed. We decided to give this place a new life and transform it into a modern education center!
The problem we address
Rural youth are leaving their hometowns in large numbers in search of education and career opportunities. After finishing school in a village, young people realize: to succeed, they need to move to the city. Villages lose their potential, and young people lose their connection to their native land.
Our approach
As a Christian organization, we believe that God has given us a vision to create a place where young people will receive high-quality vocational education and biblical values. This will enable them to build successful careers while staying on their native land.
“Old School” is more than just education. It’s a community of true professionals who want to grow together in faith and craftsmanship. A personal approach, deep immersion in the craft, and a strong community built on Christian principles.
How it works
A student chooses a development track and receives not only theoretical knowledge, but also hands-on experience on real projects from day one.
We are creating a modern, European-level campus: a comfortable dormitory, a café, a gym, conference halls, and fully equipped classrooms. Everything needed to stay fully focused on learning and personal growth.
Our achievements so far
We’re currently successfully running the course “CS50: Introduction to Programming” for young people who are diving into the IT world. Developed by Harvard University, the course consists of 10 intensive sessions over 10 academic weeks.
In 2026, we’re launching new tracks: English, landscape design, and web development. Each course is designed by professionals with hands-on experience in their field.
The people behind the idea
This project became a reality by God’s grace and through the support of a group of Dutch Christian brothers who founded a charitable foundation in the Netherlands. They believed in our vision and are helping make it happen.
In partnership with them, we continue to grow—launching new courses and creating international opportunities for our students.
Our faith and vision
We believe God has a plan for rural Ukraine, and it can become a place where the future is born. Young people shouldn’t have to choose between success and their native land.
